The Salvation Army is offering shelter to a group of Haitians who were this week evicted from a four-bedroom house at Bonnetts, Brittons Hill, St Michael.
Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM David Comissiong has confirmed to Barbados TODAY that the Salvation Army has agreed to take in the Haitian at their Reed Street Hostel.
Commissiong said he will be meeting with the management of Salvation Army later on Saturday and that the offer to the Haitians takes effect immediately.
The young men said they had come here in search of a better life.
However, they said they found no jobs and have exhausted their limited finances. (AH)
Great cos no one love to be homeless. But Then what ?.

@Guardian . Almost everyday we read in the local newspapers of a work permit is being applied for to bring in a non-national to do xyz job, as no suitable national could be found.
Hope that you also have this in your radar.
A heavy influx of people from the Caribbean to Barbados(their America), is to benefit people like Donild Trimp who make their money off black people with cheap labour. The conservative BLP party is happy with that, since it is these kinds of businessmen, that control that organisation. Why do you think, that even though the present regime has granted the parasites many concessions, they sharks have refused to ease up on their risen prices. Government Ministers are constantly on their knees – below the belts of these businessmen- begging and begging them to please lower the prices, to no avail. The businessmen should really pee in their faces.
Nice one Johnny. But what can we expect from ministers who have made pride their refuge and despised the industry. Who gave up the fishing Rod to buy their fish? Who is the bag blinding? But there is light at the end of this 6000yr tunnel. All over the earth the disenfranchised black man nailed. Aided by his own lost people. real independence day SOOONNN.
@Belfast – OK. The entire Caribbean black people are currently in the same boat as the so called Haitians. Vision and the lack thereof is a serious problem among this majority people.
@haitians – glad something was sorted. U lot might as well stay on for the fun if it. Check Jada for some work.

The (EEC +EU)to the world is an eye opener so much to learn from, but it seems our region and Barbados so call political
( Xperts) way of base,,….. This is my new word for the failures we have seen from the educators…………………………
This Haitian issue is just the tip of the iceberg , we must wake up ,…… We have no real policing of our borders, no real control of our emigration gate ways that’s why we are always going to be flowed with guns, drugs and illegal immigrants…
JOHNNY CROW: You bad then!!!.
