Darion Jason Watts, of Lot No. 6 Smith Road, Pinelands, St Michael also issued an apology when he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court this afternoon and pleaded guilty to committing the crime against Ronanson Bowen on March 14, 2019. Station Sergeant Cameron Gibbons told Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant that Bowen was in the park using his phone when the incident occurred. He reported the matter to the police and Watts who was arrested on March 16, 2019 admitted to the crime. The phone was recovered and a restitution order has been granted for it to be returned to Bowen. “I just want to apologise to that guy. My emotions got the best of me. I am no criminal or no robber,” Watts told the magistrate just before she placed him on a bond for the next 12 months.
