When his case was called in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court yesterday 47-year-old Michael Anthony Brathwaite did not answer. However, he told Magistrate Douglas
Frederick today he was in police custody not far away.

And while Brathwaite, of Reed Street, St Michael had been on two sets of bail on previous charges he was not lucky this time around as he got an automatic 28 days on remand at HMP Dodds.

The accused was not required to plead to the charge that he had two rounds of ammunition in his possession on March 17, 2019.

Brathwaite was also charged with robbing Basil Whitehead of a chain, pendant and a watch worth $11,400 on April 7, 2018. as well causing serious bodily harm to Winston Beckles on February 19, 2017 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do him some serious bodily harm.

The accused was on $3,000 bail on each those charges. He will make his next court appearance on April 17, 2019.
