The mother now has five months to come up with $2,500, half of the amount that she put up as collateral for her son Ryan Anthony Omar Bentham, of Brewsters Road, Worthings, Christ Church. He is accused of committing serious indecency on a nine-year-old child between August 12, 2012 and May 9, 2013. The case has been before Magistrate Douglas Frederick but stalled when Bentham stopped appearing at the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court. Today his mother informed the magistrate that she nor the accused’s five children have heard from him in a while. She further explained that his ex girlfriend spoke to him sometime back but he did not give information on his whereabouts, only asking about the wellbeing of his children. “Your son has no regard for you,” Frederick said.
