Foetus found is monkey, not human

Police have clarified that the foetus discovered among refuse in the back of a garbage truck today was that of a monkey.

Sanitation workers had reported the grim discovery, which was made along Collymore Rock, St Michael this morning, to police.

Acting Police Public Relations Officer Inspector Rodney Inniss told Barbados TODAY further investigations conducted with the assistance of a medical doctor, revealed that the foetus was that of the animal, which was found attached to its mother in a bag discarded in the garbage.
