Twenty-two-year-old Mario Ricardo Absalon has been sentenced to time behind bars on 33 mostly theft charges.
When the Blades Hill No. 3, St Philip resident appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on the weekend he was sentenced to 12 months at HMP Dodds.
He pleaded guilty to the following offences all of which occurred in the District ‘A’ jurisdiction:
That on November 19, 2018 he stole an $800 cellular phone and a $25 phone case belonging to Stephen Burke as well as $200 belonging to Cherise Scantlebury and another $200 belonging to Katrina Scantlebury on December 14, 2018.
Between January 14 and May 2 – he stole $1,500 belonging to Jeremy Skeete; $540 and $820 belonging to Taequon Yearwood on two different dates; $280 belonging to Caleb Alleyne; $180 belonging Shakeem Jones; $1,200 belonging to Taylor Gittens; $410 belonging to Kiara Forte; $400, $413.25 and $2,540 belonging to Jovanni Harewood on three different occasions; $160 belonging to Shanille Griffith and $20 belonging to Shakeem Jones.
He also pleaded guilty to 16 other charges including criminal damage charges, resisting and assaulting police officers and traffic charges. Those offences occurred in the District F, C, E and B jurisdictions.
