Nineteen-year-old Andre Antonio Grant, of Green Park Lane, Baxter’s Road, St Michael is accused of committing the offences on May 24. His charges also included using a firearm on the same day without having a valid licence. He was not required to plead to the charges after the Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch read them in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court this afternoon. Similarly, there was no plea taken to the charge that he also used a firearm on November 29, 2018 without a valid licence. Grant was also facing charges – cultivation of 17 marijuana plants, two counts of possession of cannabis, one count of possession with intent to supply and one count of trafficking in the drug on May 30.
