Police say they responded to a report of a shooting incident about just before noon. Two men travelling in a truck had stopped at a residence in the area, where the driver disembarked to speak to another man. Reports are that a man who was walking towards the truck pulled a firearm and shot at Callender who was the passenger. Callender was shot twice – in his lower back and his right knee. He was taken to QEH for medical attention. Police say his injuries are not-life-threatening and he remains in serious but stable condition. Police are asking anyone who witnessed this incident or have any knowledge to contact police emergency at 211; District C Police Station at 416-8200 / 8201 or Crime Stoppers 1 800 8477 (TIPS).
