Chief Executive Officer Fabian Wharton made the announcement on Voice of Barbados’ Down to Brasstacks this morning. “Within the next couple days or so you will start to see announcements coming from the Transport Board as it relates to scaling back of services and the eventual termination of services. “I would say before the week is completed, close to Thursday and Friday. We are tentatively looking at 5 p.m. on Thursday because the Post Office had issued a statement as it relates to pensioners and getting their pension cheques cashed.” Wharton, however, revealed that special arrangements were being made to ensure transportation is in place for essential workers.
