27 people arrested in Guyana for breach of curfew

Neil Kumar ⁠— a former director of sports in Guyana ⁠— and 26 other PPP/C representatives have been arrested by police for breach of curfew.

Kumar served as director of sports under a former PPP/C administration.

According to reports, Kumar assembled a group of protesters outside the Office of the President on Saturday.

Police said Kumar was warned to “desist from gathering.”

They reportedly failed to comply and were all arrested.
