The two young men caught in the illegal act of dumping on Sunday could still face prosecution, officials said today.
This morning, Anthony Brathwaite, 29, and Ross Corbin, 23, returned to the site this time in the company of Minister of Environment and National Beautification Trevor Prescod, General Manager of the National Conservation Commission Ryan Als, Police and other officials.
Public Relations Officer of the Sanitation Service Authority, Carl Alff Padmore told reporters: “they were served notice this morning by the health officers and in that notice it states clear that they are aware that they can still be prosecuted.
For the next five days, the two young men who were caught in the act of illegal dumping on Sunday will clean up fronm Needhams Point tob the Pierhead in St Michael.
There the duo issued a public apology even as Minister Prescod issued a warning.
