Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 292 Aron Brisport who is alleged to have committed several offences against a police officer within the precincts of the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court yesterday has been remanded to Dodds. The 22-year-old from 2nd Peterkin Land, Bank Hall, St Michael appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today and pleaded not guilty to assaulting and resisting Police Constable Kenmore Philips while he was executing his duties on July 16. He also denied using indecent language towards the officer on the court’s precincts when he reportedly said “wunnah got people in the f***ing sun”. The prosecution objected to his bail on the grounds that the cases were serious offences as the constable was in uniform and on court premises at the time. The Crown also said that the accused should not be granted bail at this time based on the strength of the evidence against him and the fact that he is on bail for similar offence. Brisport was remanded to until August 14 after a bail application made on his behalf by an attorney was unsuccessful.
