Local NewsNews UPDATE: Road fatality at St Stephens Hill by Barbados Today 09/09/2020 written by Barbados Today Updated by Sandy Deane 09/09/2020 1 min read A+A- Reset Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 377 Lawmen are carrying out investigations into the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident along St Stephens Hill, Black Rock, St Michael that occurred around 1:30 p.m. Police spokesman acting Sergeant Michael Blackman said the deceased, a male, who was riding a bicycle, was struck by a Daihatsu Mira (MX 934). According to Blackman, the car was travelling along St Stephens Hill Road in a westerly direction towards Black Rock main road and the bicyclist was reportedly travelling from Waterman Road onto St Stephens Hill Road when they collided. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance complaining of back and shoulder injuries. Police have not yet released the names of the individuals involved.
