According to a release, from Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, lawmen received a report around 8:37 p.m. of “a number of shots” being fired at Golden Rock, The Pine, St Michael. A number of men were seen fleeing the scene. A man was subsequently discovered with a head injury. He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private motorcar for medical attention but “was later pronounced dead whilst at the QEH.” Investigating are ongoing into that incident as well as another which occurred earlier around 8:33 p.m. at Halls Road, St Michael. The police spokesman said a 27-year-old man from Hinds Gap, in the same area, received a gunshot injury to his abdomen. He was also transported to the QEH for medical attention by private vehicle.
