This evidence came from Acting Inspector of Police Nicole Foster as she addressed the No. 2 Supreme Court. The matter against Cyril McDonald Grovesnor, was set down for trial this week and the empaneled jury was asked to return a verdict of not guilty. The No. 5 Waverley, Keizer Hill, Christ Church resident was charged with two counts of indecent assault against the 24-year-old woman. The offence was said to have occurred on March 1 and 3, 2016. Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale said the Crown was no longer proceeding with the matter and asked for it to be dismissed for want of prosecution. Attorney-at-law Ralph Thorne QC represented the accused.
