Home intruder to know fate next week

A burglar who entered the house of a woman on January 21, 2018 intending to indecently assault her 11-year-old relative will be sentenced next Friday.

Ray Herbert will be informed of his fate by Justice Randall Worrell in the No. 2 High Court.

The girl was at home with her brother, sister and niece and in the early hours of the morning while lying on her bed, she felt something wet on her lips. She opened her eyes and saw Herbert over her.

He placed his finger on his lip and motioned to the minor to be quiet.

The facts revealed that after tapping her sister to alert her to what was happening, the convicted man ran out of the bedroom, through the back door and escaped.

The girl said she did not know how Herbert got into the house. (EJ)
