A local High Court heard a young man admit today to five charges involving unlawful possession of arms, ammunition and drugs.
Rodney Osbourne Durham pleaded guilty to the offences which all occurred on February 12 this year in the parish of Christ Church.
Durham is likely to know his fate on Tuesday after Crown Counsel Keith Robertson reads the facts in the case before the No. 2 Supreme Court presided over by Justice Randall Worrell. At that time, sentencing submissions are expected to be made and the time the accused spent on remand should be made available to the court.
The prisoner was originally charged with possessing a 9 mm calibre firearm and 13 rounds of ammunition without valid licences, unlawful possession
of 15 grams of cannabis, trafficking the same quantity of the drug and possession of 162.19 grams of cannabis.
