He remains on $200 000 bail. The 60-year-old was brought before the law court late last month following a request for his extradition to the United States of America to stand trial on money laundering charges. The former senior vice president at the Insurance Corporation of Barbados (ICBL) faces charges that that between August 2015 and April 2016 he conspired with others to launder money into the US in violation of US law. The matter is being heard before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes. Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale and Senior Crown Counsel Oliver Thomas are the prosecutors in the case while Tasker is being represented by attorneys Andrew Pilgrim Q.C. and Neville Reid. The conditions previously attached to his bail remain.
