The fire, which broke out just after 10’clock, started in one of the bedrooms, eyewitnesses told Barbados TODAY. When a Barbados TODAY team arrived on the scene, MP for Christ Church West Central Adrian Forde said he received the news through his constituency office. Forde, who described the incident as “an unfortunate travesty” told Barbados TODAY, the house that was rented by the occupants was uninsured. “There seems to be a lot of water damage, heat cracks and extensive damage to the northern end where the bedrooms were,” he said. Forde said he had contacted the Welfare Department and other social agencies to assist the victims.
