This pledge was made during a recent donation to the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust’s Annual Back to School programme. “At BHL we believe that our greatest strength is our people and we believe that extends to the people of Barbados as well,” said Anya Frederick, public relations and communications officer at BHL. “Corporate social responsibility is of major importance to us, so we aim to support projects and initiatives that provide help to communities across the island, especially those hit hardest from the effects of the global pandemic.” Dwayne Grazette, president and chief executive officer of the Trust, was happy with the company’s donation to the programme, which provides relief for many marginalized and underprivileged primary and secondary school students across Barbados. The contribution would assist in purchasing school uniforms and shoes, backpacks, textbooks, stationery supplies and provide payment towards the textbook loan scheme and petty fees. This charitable act follows in the path of various initiatives the beverage conglomerate and its subsidiaries executed in 2020.
