The notice purportedly promises a payout within 24 hours of submitting an application. The Ministry of Energy, Small Business and Entrepreneurship has stated that Government has not issued such a notice, and is urging the public not to respond to any notices of this sort on social media. All notices issued by Government, which are of a public interest, are done through the Barbados Government Information Service and are disseminated via traditional and social media.
