Four drug charges have been levelled against an Eden Lodge woman.

Althea Latoya Cumberbatch, 36, from Austin and Dacosta Drive, is accused of importing 6.1 kilogrammes or an estimated $48,800 worth of cannabis into the island on April 9.

She is further alleged to have had possession, possession with intent for her or someone else to supply and trafficking in the illegal drug on the same date.

Cumberbatch who is represented by attorneys-at-law Andrew Pilgrim Q.C., and Neville Reid pleaded not guilty to all the offences before Magistrate Alison Burke.

With no objections from prosecutor Constable Ralph Rollock, she was granted $15 000 with one surety.

Her bail came with the conditions that she handed over her passport to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court and report to the Black Rock Police Station every Wednesday by 10 a.m. with valid identification.

The cases against Cumberbatch will continue before Magistrate Burke on
August 24.
