Known convict Marston Owen Marshall has been sentenced to nine months in prison.

The 43-year-old Ashby Alley, Nelson Street, St Michael resident was sentenced by Magistrate Manila Renee in the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Marshall had pleaded guilty to loitering at Pirates Cove Beach on April 6 with cause to suspect that he was about to steal. He was convicted, reprimanded and discharged for that offence.

However, the convict was sentenced to time in jail after he admitted to having a ratchet, two hammers, a wrench and two screwdrivers on the same date for use in the course of theft when he was not at his place of abode.

He is known to the court with convictions for illegal drug possession and theft.
