A St Thomas technician appeared before a magistrate Monday accused of theft in two jurisdictions.
Ricardo Chris Anthony Phillips, 33, of Sharon Main Road, St Thomas is alleged to have stolen a $600 car stereo; four car rims and tyres worth $3 800; a $2 200 windscreen; a $5 300 back beam; and two disc hubs and bearings worth $1 966 belonging to Latoya Eversley. The items which totalled $13 866 were allegedly stolen between February 5, 2018, and August 9, 2019.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge when he appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court this morning. Police prosecutor PC Ralph Rollock put forward no objections to bail and the accused was given an August 24 date to reappear in court on that theft charge. Phillips is further accused of stealing a solar power system worth $2,000 belonging to Nicole Herbert between January 17 and April 6 this year.
He was not required to enter a plea to the offence as it reportedly occurred in the District ‘E’ Holetown jurisdiction.
The accused will appear before a magistrate in that jurisdiction on that charge on April 16.
He is on $8,000 bail in the meantime.
