Road fatality victim identified as Mark Anthony Watson

Saturday’s road fatality victim has been identified as Mark Anthony Watson of Durants, Christ Church.

Watson died in a collision, which occurred around 3:30 pm Saturday along the Adams section of the ABC Highway between the area of Henry Forde roundabout and Bannatyne Road junction.

Police said the collission involved two vehicles — a truck and a car.

Both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when the collision occurred.

Watson, who was driving the car, died on the spot.  He was the only occupant in that vehicle.

The truck left the carriageway and overturned. That driver was also the sole occupant and he escaped with slight injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
