COVID-19 UPDATE: 17 new cases, 173 in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has recorded 17 new COVID-19 cases, seven females and ten males. The number of tests carried out on Wednesday, July 21 is 1,336.

There are currently 173 people in isolation.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded since March 2020, have moved to 4,319  (2,096 females and 2,223 males). The death toll from the viral illness is 48.

The public health laboratory has conducted 205,925 tests since February 2020.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 98,592 first doses of the vaccines have been administered. To date, 73,814 people or 27.2 per cent of the population have received second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
