According to police spokesman Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, the incident occurred around 2:25 p.m. on August 2, 2021 along Medford Land, Dayrells Road, Christ Church, in the area of Babb’s Minimart. The man, the police public relations officer said, was walking behind the minimart when “a man known to him confronted him and discharged a number of gun shots in his direction. The victim attempted to run away when he received [the] gunshot injury . . .[and] fell to the ground near his residence.” He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance, admitted, and is in stable condition.
