The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory carried out 1,672 tests on Saturday, August 21. The number of people in isolation is 153. There have been 4,652 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,271 females and 2,381 males) since March, last year. Forty-eight persons have succumbed to the virus. The public health laboratory has conducted 248,865 tests since February 2020. Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 102,649 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. Additionally, 90,027 persons (37,363 men and 52,664 women), or 33.2 per cent of the population, have received second doses and are fully vaccinated.
