Police are also at the scene of the building situated along Broad Street at its junction with Prince William Street, Bridgetown, St Michael. Three fire tenders and 14 personnel headed by the Acting Chief Fire Officer Henderson Patrick responded and extinguished a fire in an area where it initial started. However, the volume of smoke in the building and surrounding buildings had to be investigated and extracted. Police have implemented traffic management measures including the diversion of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic travelling along Prince William Henry Street and upper Broad Street.
