The situation, which has caused some frustration to the affected individuals, is due to a significant increase in the number of persons presenting themselves for COVID-19 tests, as a result of contact tracing. Additionally, there have also been some samples which could not be processed and will need to be re-taken. The Ministry regrets the inconvenience caused to members of the public and is working assiduously to address these challenges in the shortest possible time. Health officials will continue to work on improving the system in an effort to provide satisfactory service to the public.
