To this end, the company continues to make significant donations to key agencies and institutions in Barbados to ensure the health and safety of their employees, the latest being Her Majesty’s Prisons (HMP) at Dodds. Earlier this week, Sales and Marketing Manager Shari Green presented sanitisation products including Beep automatic hand sanitiser wall-mounted dispensers, liquid hand sanitiser, disinfectant spray and travel size disinfectant spray to the senior management of the prison. “The donation is to help safeguard the prison population against the highly transmissible Delta variant of the COVID-19 coronavirus detected in Barbados and beginning to spread among local communities,” Green stated. She added: “The safety of inmates, wardens, staff and their families are paramount. As a local manufacturing company and a subsidiary of Goddard Enterprises, celebrating its centennial, McBride is pleased to make this further contribution to assist in the nation’s fight against COVID- 19.” Superintendent of HMP Dodds, Colonel John Nurse, said the management and staff of the prison were very appreciative of the donation from McBride since it would go a long way in the fight against COVID-19 at the prison. Prison Officer I and Health and Safety Officer, Wayne Yearwood, noted that the donation was very timely since the prison uses a considerable number of disposable face masks weekly and a large volume of sanitiser to disinfect the facility daily.
