Speaking Out #BTColumn – Let’s support the COVID-19 battle by Barbados Today Traffic 15/09/2021 written by Barbados Today Traffic 15/09/2021 2 min read A+A- Reset Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 177 The views and opinions expressed by the author(s) do not represent the official position of Barbados TODAY. by Bajan Boyp It seems to me that we have a set of people in Barbados who just set out to criticise and oppose every single thing. Instead of urging Barbadians to rally together and observe the protocols and get vaccinated we have some people that just look to cry down everything instead of joining with the Government in this fight against COVID-19. We all need to come to the realization that this fight with COVID-19 is not a Mia Mottley or Jeffrey Bostic or a Dr. Corey Forde fight alone. This is a fight for all Barbadians!!!! Each and every one of us need to start, if we are not yet doing it, to follow ALL the protocols and get vaccinated. When we see people not following the protocols, we need to be brave and call them out and ask them to observe them. You Might Be Interested In Enlightened rastafari Twistory again! Time is running out We also need to start encouraging as much persons as possible to go out and get vaccinated. I have an issue with the two opposition parties who in my opinion seems to be hoping that the government lose the battle with COVID-19 in the hope that they would gain some ground. As I said that is my opinion but looking on that is the only opinion I can come to as all they are doing is criticising and crying down instead of urging Barbadians and their members to follow the protocols and get vaccinated. We all need to join this fight. All the unions, the sporting association, the service clubs, party promoters, the three political parties and the business sector should be pushing the message to their various members to take up the fight and follow the protocols and get vaccinated. I also would love to see the newspapers have something on their front page everyday encouraging us to follow the protocols and get vaccinated. We need to get the message across that we need to follow the protocols and get vaccinated or be prepared for a long fight with COVID-19.
