A total of 199 new COVID-19 cases (96 males and 103 females) have been identified by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
There were 2,351 tests conducted on Tuesday, September 28.
These new cases comprise 65 individuals under the age of 18, and 134 others who are 18 years and older.
There are 858 patients in isolation.
Barbados has recorded 8,180 confirmed cases (4,026 males and 4,154 females) of the viral illness, and 69 deaths, as at Tuesday.
The public health laboratory has performed 315,319 tests.
To date, 134,122 first doses have been administered under the National
Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. So far, 103,846 persons (38.3 per cent of the population) have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
