#BTSpeakingOut – The public’s trust was damaged

One of the primary reasons people are reluctant to take the vaccine is trust. Officialdom needs to capture the trust and confidence of all Barbadians.

Thus, authorities must do all the things that engender trust.

This is why I am amazed that I have watched a number of press conferences since the Mark Maloney, Ministry of Health and Radical scandal broke, and to date, not one of these amateurish journalists has had the courage to ask the PM, Minister Bostic or whoever, how are they going to restore trust and confidence in the Barbados populace after that fiasco with the vaccines that never came.

How are Barbadians to trust the efficacy and standard of vaccines Government wants to inject into people’s arms, after there was an attempt to get them into Barbados in what has proven to be a surreptitious manner.

That sordid affair has not been properly addressed.

All truths have not yet been revealed but yet Government and medical professionals want Barbadians to trust them.

I have no problem with taking A vaccine but I must be able to trust the process and right now I trust neither the government nor the process. You all did this; not us.
