The workshop will be hosted by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy and the Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI) on Wednesday, November 3, beginning at 9:30 a.m. via the Zoom platform. Persons may register for the workshop by contacting Consultant at the Ministry, Lee Rose at lee.rose@barbados.gov.bb, or Senior Administrative Officer at the Ministry, Lynn Culpepper at lynn.culpepper@barbados.gov.bb. Registration runs until Monday, November 1. The Control of Disposable Plastics Act came into effect in 2020 and prohibits the importation, manufacture, distribution and sale of certain single-use petroleum-based plastic items.
