These 11-year-olds are particularly special because they are the children of 21 members of the Republic Bank team. To assist in their preparation for the transition to secondary school, they were each presented with a cheque for $150.00 and a goodie bag of Republic Bank branded items. The cohort this year was the largest number of students rewarded in a single year. Sophia Allsopp, Manager of Marketing and Communications at Republic Bank (Barbados) Limited said the initiative, started in 2016 and now in its sixth year, represents another example of the Bank’s desire to ensure staff welfare as well as a gesture of encouragementto the students. The list of students who were rewarded included Cyrina Walcott-Lloyd, Sumehra Gooding, Laniya Worrell, Kazarie Barrow, Arrie-Ann Williams, Tyanna Agard, K’Dionne Alleyne, Jathan Bradshaw, Alexis Lewis, Demarco Greenidge, Jonathan Kinch, Nikari Richards, Naomi Alleyne, Nyron Hoyte, Tre’ Durant, Alesha Daniel, Saryah Gay, Jada Alleyne, Ryssa King, and Dominic Headley.
