Now, the 66-year-old from Cane Garden who has been held in custody for the past six months has asked for his case to be fast-tracked to the High Court. Lynch is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Jean Agatha Forde with intent to maim, disfigure or disable her or to do some serious bodily harm by orchestrating a knife attack on her on April 9. He is not required to plead to the charge in the magistrates’ court as it is indictable. PC Ralph Rollock who had previously given an undertaking to look into Lynch’s case said that the file on the accused was almost completed. Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes then adjourned the case until November 23.
