The case of three people – two men and a woman – charged with the 2016 death of David Nicholas Blenman will continue before Justice Randall Worrell on November 19.

When the case came up for hearing on Friday Shaquan Sherwin Omar Crichlow informed the No.2 Supreme Court that he had new defence counsel representing him in the matter. Attorney Safiya Moore informed Justice Worrell that she now had to take instructions from her client as to the way forward.

Crichlow is charged along with his partner Faith Angelica Pile and her brother Jamar Antonio Pile, all of Skeete’s Road, Jackman’s, St Michael with murdering Blenman between November 30 and December 1, 2017.

The Piles have pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to non-capital murder in connection with the matter.

The nude body of the 26-year-old Blenman, of Golden Mile, Heywoods, St Peter was discovered at Foul Bay Beach, St Philip around 5:45 a.m. on December 1.

Jamar Pile is represented by Michael Lashley Q.C, while his sister is represented by attorney-at-law Angella Mitchell-Gittens.

Senior Crown Counsel Neville Watson is the prosecutor.
