In a statement, the BWA said: “The main has been sanitized and all pressure and bacteriological tests completed. The water supply through the main to St. Joseph and St. Andrew areas fed via this source was restored on Wednesday, November 3rd.” The authority added that it was currently awaiting the test results on the new 4-inch main installed. “Once received, this main will also be put back into service to supply residents in the immediate environs. The Authority’s tanker service will continue to assist customers in the remaining affected districts until all work is complete.” The BWA noted that the roadway is open to traffic, but it has advised the travelling public to exercise caution as clean-up works continue.
