Reginald Nathaniel Blackman, of Wildey, St Michael appeared before the Holetown Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday accused of committing an act of serious indecency against a woman on October 15. The 48-year-old sergeant was not required to plead to the indicatable charge when he appeared before the court with his attorneys Kyle Watts and Kristin Vanderpool. There were no objections to bail from the prosecutor Sergeant Theodore McClean and Blackman secured his $5 000 bail with one surety. As part of his bail conditions he must now report to the Hasting’s/Worthing Police Station every Friday before 9 a.m. and surrender his passport to the court. Blackman will make his next appearance before the District ‘D’ Magistrates’ Court on November 8, as the offence is alleged to have been committed in that jurisdiction.
