The new positives comprised 99 persons, who were under the age of 18, and 229 who were 18 years and older. There were 926 people in isolation facilities, and 6,403 in home isolation. Three deaths were recorded – two Barbadian females aged 58 and 61, and a 71-year-old Barbadian male. These patients passed away in primary isolation at the Harrison’s Point facility. They were unvaccinated. Their deaths bring the number of persons who have died from COVID-19, as at November 4, to 170. Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 149,799 (65.6 per cent of the eligible population). A total of 128,816 persons (47.5 per cent of the total population or 56.4 per cent of the eligible population) have received their second doses and are fully vaccinated. The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older. The public health laboratory has carried out 398,272 tests since the beginning of the pandemic and recorded 19,516 confirmed cases (9,416 males and 10,100 females) of COVID-19.
