Of this number, 98 persons were under the age of 18, and 313 were 18 years and older. There were 896 people in isolation facilities, and 6,661 in home isolation. Two deaths were recorded – a 90-year-old Barbadian woman, who died at the Blackman and Gollop Isolation Facility on November 7, and a 79-year-old Barbadian man,who died at the Harrison’s Point Isolation facility. They were both unvaccinated. Their deaths bring the number of persons who have died from COVID-19 to 183, as at November 8. The total number of persons vaccinated with at least one dose under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 is 150,639 (66 per cent of the eligible population). A total of 130,367 persons (48.1 per cent of the total population or 57.1 per cent of the eligible population) have received their second doses and are fully vaccinated. The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older. The public health laboratory has carried out 405,139 tests since February 2020 and recorded 20,676 confirmed cases (9,968 males and 10,708 females) of the viral illness.
