In its latest alert the BMS said: “Over the last 36 hours, rainfall accumulations in excess of 2 to 5 inches were received across the island. These unstable conditions being experienced will persist over the next few days with further accumulations of 1 to 3 inches expected across Barbados.” The BMS has advised residents and visitors to reman alert for the following impacts: – Significant runoff from higher elevations. -Significant soil erosion is likely on exposed or scarred land surfaces. -Large water settlements on roads and fields.
