A 20 year-old male fell into a 42-foot well at Clarke’s Road, Hothersal Turning, St Michael.

He was identified as Jacquan Wharton of Valery, Brittons Hill, St Michael.

According to Wharton’s father Wendell Harris, who spoke to Barbados TODAY on the scene, the young man was walking through a track a few metres away from a house he was working on when the incident occurred.

Officers from the Barbados Fire Services responded to the incident after an emergency call was made around 12:44 p.m.

Using an Arizona Vortex, the fire officials rescued Wharton, who did not sustain any major injuries. (SB)
