The anxious wait for the results in this year’s Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) will be over by September 5.
In a statement issued Thursday, the regional examinations body said students will be able to access their results online by that date.
“Consistent with the announced schedule for release during the last week of August or the first week of September, preliminary results for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), and Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC) will be released on Monday, September 5, in St Lucia,” it said.
Regional education officials will receive the results days earlier on September 1 to provide feedback ahead of a meeting of Ministries of Education on September 2.
CXC said it has been working assiduously at completing the marking and grading process for the timely release of this year’s examination results, and assured that provision has been made for students seeking entry into universities to receive early results.
“In instances where requests for early release of results were made, preliminary results will also be made available to universities at the same time as the ministries of education to facilitate the matriculation of candidates,” the CXC statement added.
Students can access their preliminary results online at https://www.cxc.org/student-results.
This year’s examinations were delayed until May 23 in response to strong appeals from several countries for CXC to give students more time to prepare for the tests, in light of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on schools. (BT)
