A 26-year-old man is dead following a shooting at Upper Gills Road, St Michael, on Sunday.
Police were called to the area around 10:40 am for reports that a man standing by a house had been shot multiple times about his body by a pillion rider on a motorcycle.
The two men on the motorcycle reportedly escaped travelling along Upper Roebuck Street, toward Tweedside Road, St Michael.
The victim was transported to the QEH in a private vehicle and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are appealing for any information in this matter. Anyone who may have witnessed or have any knowledge of this incident or the perpetrators involved are advised to call Central Police Station at 430 7676, Police Emergency 211, CID 4307189 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 8477 (TIPS).
