Today’s work stoppage at the Transport Board was a major talking point on social media. On the Barbados TODAY platforms, members of the public shared mixed views on the matter. While the majority were anxious for a speedy end to the dispute to allow transport services to return to normal, some voiced support for workers, while others knocked the manner in which the action unfolded.

Why do you people wait until workers strike before doing what is necessary? If the issues are old, they should’ve been dealt with a long time ago.
Joyann Watson
The issues which the Transport Board have is having people waiting for over 2/3 hours for a bus to get work or home.

Government! Sort out your “PENDING ISSUES” this is a new year. Barbadians are “FED UP” with the same issues over and over again. Government, you need to sort the problems out and stop pushing them under the rug for another year.

Despite the disruption in service, the Transport Board workers took a stance.

The Transport Board Directors or Management should have been out front of these issues/ problems and also the union.

These children already had so much disruptions already, now this.

I guess the taxis made money today.

If more Bajans were like the workers of the Transport Board, a lot of things would change.

I wish all of them would get fired and hire people who care about work. School kids on the road can’t get to school because of this stupidity.

Transport Board workers are striking and still the service is poor… Government can’t sustain the Transport Board along with other things, it needs to be privatised, and then we will see a major difference in service.

I need to see more entities in Bim taking a stand as these brave men and women are.
Jeannett.merritt.7
These men and women of our Transport Board deserve better. It has to be overbearing for this to happen. If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for everything.
