A 65-year-old construction worker died on Monday after falling into a 60-foot well at the airport.
According to police, Alfred Evor Odle of Deal Gardens, Maxwell, Christ Church was cleaning the well located on the southern ramp of the runway at the Grantley Adams International Airport when he fell into it around 1:45 p.m.
Personnel from the Barbados Fire Service recovered Odle’s body around 3:20 p.m.
He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor at the scene.
Odle was identified by family members.
Investigations are continuing.
