The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) has discontinued the FLOOD AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH effective
However, a mid to upper-level trough will continue to generate cloudy to overcast skies with pockets of light to moderate showers,
periods of rain and the slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. As a result, the alert level for Excess Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorms
has been lowered to yellow (be aware).
– Residents and visitors should be aware of the following possibilities if this alert level elevates to orange or red:-
-Some soil erosion on bared or scarred land surfaces.
– Water settlements on roads and fields.
– Increases water levels of existing water bodies (e.g ponds etc.).
– Some delays on traffic routes in this area.
