Two days after a St John Primary School monitor expressed concern about the safety of students crossing the road outside the school, promises to rectify the situation were kept.
Prime Minister Mia Mottley, Minister of Education Kay McConney and Acting Chief Technical Officer in the Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources (MTWW) Phillip Tudor gave the assurance during the St John Speaks town hall meeting on Tuesday night.
From this morning, a traffic warden was assigned to the school and the MTWW began the process of refreshing the pedestrian crossing and improving signage.
